How to Keep Your Loved Ones Close this Holiday Season

Have you noticed how quickly the Holiday Season has approached? With everything to do, this is definitely the busiest time of the year and then like a flash it is all over. It is quite easy that while we are in the midst of “doing” so many things like running around from place to place, gift buying and giving, dinners to prepare and so forth, that we don’t remember to take the time to truly enjoy the company of our loved ones. For they are our true treasures. However, we need to remember to keep those we care about close along without spreading ourselves too thin with an over abundance of unrealistic time commitments.

This holiday season is about to present a few firsts for me: a summer Christmas and my first time being away from my friends and family. I am so accustomed to this time of year being cold and snowy, better known as a “White Christmas”. This time I get the pleasure of spending my time down under in New Zealand with my NEW extended family circle. I guess you could say that I am having a Kiwi Christmas.

So whether you are not able to be close to your loved ones this season due to distance or time challenges all the more reason to keep them energetically close. For this I want to share a Feng Shui Cure to show you one way of doing this.

Collect your favourite photos of your friends and family. Then place your favourite photos in a beautiful wooden frame. Wood is the element that most enhances family connections. I guess that’s where the saying “Family Tree” comes from. Place the photos each in the wooden frame or make a collage of your close ones. Now your new ornament can be placed in your dinning room area or wherever you have your celebratory holiday feasts. It will be as if they are there with you right at the table to enjoy all the talk and treats. If you are unable to find pictures use any other symbol or art that best represents your loved ones along with a wooden item (i.e: box, stem, branch, wooden utensil, board etc.) to activate the bond and connection.

Have fun and be creative! I just received news that a great friend of mine back home has gone as far as to placing a wooden chair at the table and has told everyone that is my seat for Christmas Dinner! I know I will be with my friends and family back home…in spirit!

Remember this time of year is all about being rather then doing. It’s not about how much you do. It’s not worth stretching your energy beyond what is healthy for you. When you are giving your time and energy to your loved ones you want to be able to give only the best of your energy and time. Use this cure to keep them near with still giving time to yourself to stay charged.

May this season bring an abundance of health, prosperity and love!

Prepare for the Most Mystical Time of the Year!

October is such a fascinating month. Based on Numerology it is the month that acts as the “window” to show you what is to come in the New Year. September brought the phase of completion as we now begin to wind down and turn inward for the dark, hibernation days of winter.

October holds the wonderful celebration of Hallowe’en, a time of transition and thanks giving as well as apparently a time where the veil that separates the two worlds is at it’s thinnest. This year we look forward to Chiron (the planet of healing) shifting and moving forward all the way until June, 2010 as well as on Saturday where 4 major celestial alignments energize our psychic atmosphere.

 

For this month, if you would like to aid in this healing time and receive extra guidance from the “other world” you can energize your “helpful people” area in your home or office by placing a symbol of an angel (or symbol of your choice) in this space of course also including an intention that you can either state out loud, write, or visualize. Perhaps intending for a stronger connection between you and your psychic or intuitive mind.

Is Anyone Else Having Mis-Communications with Electronic Devices or is it Just Me?

I would like to share with you my story so that perhaps I may receive some feedback or suggestions.

I noticed for many years I was never one to have all my electronics working properly or working at all.

I have gone through over 6 computers, 4 cameras, 3 cars, several DVD players, and never really had a good relationship with stereos, hairdryers and various appliances as well. I just recently bought a new computer, which has been in for repairs 3 times already in its first month.

I have also been known to be around other people’s electronics, which all of a sudden don’t work when I am nearby.  I remember a time when a VCR decided to spit out a video tape just when I happened to be leaning over nearby and WHAM! Right on the head!

Last week, on the same day my new computer stopped working, my car wasn’t working and my Internet was down. It was then I heard that 2 or 3 other people I knew where also experiencing electronic interference.

Based on my knowledge and experience with Astrology, Numerology etc. I know that I am supposed to “like” technology and electronics. Which I do however I am sure I would like it more once we have a harmonized WORKING relationship. I know that I am also extremely sensitive to energy and electronics. I remember also being able to feel electronics when they are on around me regardless of whether I can tell or see if they are on. I was once told when I was younger that I should actually be careful how often and also how near I am to electronic devices.

I want to use this as an example and perhaps you can follow me through this transition, as it is a pattern that I do want to change and I know I can. I am responsible for my reality and there is a learning in all things especially patterns. I had recently worked on this pattern and I thought I had cleared it. Obviously not yet!

I am curious though, how many others have this pattern. I can’t imagine that I am the only one. So before I write to you about the progression of this awareness I would like to hear what you think.

999 WTF?!?!

I almost didn’t remain aware enough to remember that is the ninth day of the ninth month of the ninth year.

Some may just look past what seems like a small occurrence in a sea of things always happening.

Numbers do carry great importance and significance as each has their own energy and value. Nine is quite a powerful number. There are nine planets in the solar system (Yes, I am still counting Pluto as a planet!).

Why?

In Feng Shui, this is the number that represents joyful and prosperous conclusions or completions as to allow us to then prepare for our new journey and adventures ahead.

Also what makes this number so magical is that it’s the last of the single digit integers. After nine you reach double digits that in numerology get reduced back down to a single digit (10= 1+0).

The nine digit is the only number in calculation that will always reproduce itself ( 9×2 = 18. Then 1+8= 9).

Historically, ancients buried their dead on the ninth day and the dead were honoured every ninth year in some cultures.

Some religions state that Jesus died on the ninth hour and God has descended to earth nine times as well.

Therefore is known to be associated with transformation, reward and recognition.

So enjoy the ninth day or the ninth month however you feel would be best. Notice how you will have a desire to finish something, ANYTHING!

Nobody Ever Suspects The Butterfly!

That is a line from one of my all time favourite TV shows; “The Simpsons”. It is from the episode where Bart explains that if he could come back again in a different life form it would be as a butterfly.

It is an ancient belief that animals are our spirit guides that offer us wisdom, guidance and healing. Nature is so effective at giving us important messages because it is a force that can never be controlled. You just need to maintain a level of awareness to catch these synchronicities.

During the last month, as I prepared for my annual firewalk my intention was to breakthrough certain limitations. With this in mind I allowed my senses to be heightened as I opened my consciousness to be prepared for the messages and guidance to follow. To my surprise and delight I noticed two days before my firewalk that a caterpillar had decided to make itself comfortable right outside my door. Coincidence? I think not!

Later in the month, after assisting with an amazing Hypnosis Board Certification training where we got to experience breakthrough sessions which I always enjoy doing! It then came to my awareness that I kept seeing butterflies everywhere. Sometimes several a day! Of course by being aware of this I decided to embrace this message by putting a butterfly on my screen saver to remind my unconscious mind that I am grateful for whatever messages known or unknown the symbol was giving me and also to anchor in the suggestion that I am indeed transforming. I’ve even had the surprise visit of two moths who decided to stay in my home for a few days, besides; Moths are almost butterflies!

See Mars Like Never Before Recorded in History

As a Feng Shui practitioner, it kind of goes without saying that I feel not only a connection to the earth but also things like the stars and other planets as they are merely our much larger environment. They may not be seen but, they still have influence.

Mark your calendars for August as Mars will be the closer to Earth than any time in recorded history! This will make it as large as the moon to the naked eye! In the beginning of August, Mars will rise in the east from about 10pm and peaking around 3am and will gradually becoming bigger and brighter throughout the month. It will be brightest and largest at 12:30 am at the end of August (around the 27^th).

Check it out! Or I guess you can wait until the next time which could be anywhere from year 2287 or onward!

Need More Estrogen? Just Drink Water

I am very aware that our planet is not in a balanced state right now. However, it shocked me to learn this:

Scientists and Researchers are finding animals, particularly species of fish, frogs and other amphibious life forms that are becoming inter sexed? Male fish are now carrying eggs and developing genital dis formation; they are neither male nor female but a combination of both.

What’s causing this? Yup, you guessed it the usual suspects include: Chemicals, Pesticides, herbicides, and heavy Industry. One of the chemicals is a plastic softening agent that is used in creating water bottles and so on. These are called endocrine disruptors which mimic the effect of estrogen which explains why the males are adapting female traits. Use a glass and or aluminum re-usable water bottle!

Here’s what you probably didn’t know: our water filtration process does not remove absolutely everything including hormones like estrogen which is expelled by our bodies via urine. Compound this with a birth control pill which is merely injects your body with excess estrogen and that gets dumped  back into the water supply affecting animals and humans!

I am also glad I stopped taking the pill. If I need more estrogen then I’ll just drink some water!

Ready to Embrace Your Fire?

I am so excited! I am registering for my annual ritual……can you guess what it is? It’s FIREWALKING TIME! This is one of my most loved rituals, and I missed it last year because I was studying in Hawaii, fair trade I guess.

My first firewalk was around 5 years ago, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I actually caught an episode of myth busters and they were conducting experiments about firewalking. Whether, you look at it scientifically or esoterically it is still an amazing experience. And like life, it’s not what you do necessarily, it’s why you do it, and like the fire, it can be healing or it can burn!

Home of the Free?

I am so grateful to live in a country like Canada where I am able to have my own beliefs and spiritual practices!  I was walking down the street in China Town the other day and a gentlemen silently handed me a small newspaper and I felt compelled to except it. When I looked down I saw it was about Falun Gong, aka Falun Dafa, a practice that I am familiar with and was looking forward to reading. Falun Gong is a very powerful energetic art form similar to Tai Chi, Qigong and meditation. I believe energetic work of any kind is beneficial since we are all energetic beings. Energy is life!  During lunch, I sat down and read the heading: “Jailed for Their Beliefs”. Now, I am not one for focusing on what’s NOT working and I rarely follow the mass media, however, this was produced by volunteers and was not in any way “MASS”.

I will spare you the uneasy details of how both men and women are tortured and killed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as I nearly threw up my lunch. I want this blog to honour the courage and compassion for those who have experienced that type of treatment. Yet it is important to still forgive and send love to the CCP since it is part of the Falun Gong practice. I know that to push, and send anger towards them will only “feed” them so to speak, so instead I ask to start with what you can change: you. How many times have you been like the CCP; not listening to or open to someone else’s beliefs; letting fear or anger determine your actions? If we can get our lessons now, we will no longer need people to act in the same manner as the CCP. If we are not in harmony with ourselves we will not be in harmony with the world.
