Feng Shui Bedroom: Valentine’s Special

February 10, 2011

It’s that time of year again! Time to get in the spirit of love and romance!

Feng Shui tips on how to enhance your love life is one of the most common topics I get asked about. Therefore, I have put together my top 5 tips on how to use Feng Shui in the bedroom. Whether you’re wanting to attract a new partner or whether you would like to “spice” up your current love life this would be for you:

So here goes, in no particular order…

1.) NO Water Please!

Keep water features such as fountains and aquariums out of your bedroom. The bedroom is a representation of your relationship and it might not be a good thing to have a “wishy washy” relationship!

2.) Is your love life in need of repair?

Do you have anything broken or not working in your bedroom? Either get rid of it or fix it right away! That can represent something being “broken” or “not working” in your love life. It may not have manifested yet but would you like to wait to find out?

3.) Clean out your closet!

Always keep doorways clear and unobstructed. All doors including closet doors need to be able to open freely and be easily accessible. Remember your storage areas represent your Wealth and Abundance, and relationships can be filed under abundance: abundance of romance, sensuality, love, or maybe abundance of partners? (just kidding on the last one). However,  I am guessing that you would want that area of your life to be flowing freely and Abundantly!

4.) Everything is better in pairs!

Make sure you have created balance by having paired items in your bedroom. Whether it be two nightstands (of equal size), two lamps, two candles, two pillows, pictures of paired animals or lovers. I think you get the point. This will enhance an existing relationship or if you are searching it just might help you meet your match.

5.) Add some spice!

The other four suggestions haven’t sounded very “spicy” or “romantic” so this should make up for that. Be daring by bringing in some “fire” to your bedroom. The element fire can be represented in literal fire like candles or romanitc lighting. However, you can also bring in fire through the colour RED.

Hmm, I guess this makes sense why everything around this time of year is in the colour red. Perhaps marketing people unconsciously knew this already.

Red (of any shade) represents the element fire, however, if you don’t care for that colour don’t use it. Use something that brings out the passion inside you, perhaps various shades of pinks, oranges,  or purples instead.

If you suspect that you already have an abundance of “fire” in your love life then avoid adding more of it. Instead contact someone like myself who can show you how to bring that fire into balance.

Remember, fire in the “positive” will bring: love, romance, passion, etc.  If the fire is in the “negative” (too much) then it can bring out anger, fights, dis-trust, and so on.

Bonus Tip: It would be wise to learn how to cleanse and clear a space especially after activating the suggestions above. Our mindset also has a great impact of our environment therefore, also check out (if you haven’t already) my video blog on how to properly program your intent into these powerful energetic cures.

Feng Shui Tip: Is Your Space Keeping You Stuck in the Past?

February 4, 2011

Is your Environment helping you to propel towards a wonderful, abundant future? Or is it keeping you stuck in the past? Here is an exercise that you can do yourself which will help you immediately identify if your home or office is impeding your health and wellness or accelerating your growth and expansion.

It is imperative that everything in your environment is something that brings you joy as that will be the daily suggestions that you give to you (even if you are unaware of it). This will also keep you focused on the joyful things in life, because that is what you want to manifest, right?

Begin with the front entrance since it is the first thing you see and use everyday. You may want to do this with a piece of paper so you can write down important notes as you go.

Starting at the front entrance, allow yourself to imagine that it is the first time you are looking at your home.
Pay attention to what you notice first. Where is your eye drawn? Do you like what you see? More importantly, what is the first thing you feel? What comes to mind? Tranquility? Escape?
Or are there negative associations, like an overwhelming sense of what needs to be done the minute you walk in the door or perhaps who or what is behind that door. Write down the first things that come to your mind even if it doesn’t make any sense.
Remember to let your unconscious answer.

*TIP: You will know when your unconscious mind answers you because it is the first response that pops into your head.

The answer you receive will show where you are currently in your life. Follow this all the way through your home or office. Allow yourself to also see your space from different angles. Sit in seats you wouldn’t normally sit in. Get perspective by positioning yourself behind, in front, to the left and to the right of each room and its contents. You may feel suprised at what comes up.

Notice what you fill your space with. What particular kinds of furniture, art or accessories have you chosen along the way. Pick up these items and write down the first thoughts or feelings that come to you. Are you keeping that picture solely because it was a gift and you don’t actually like it? Listen to what those pieces are saying to you.

For example, if you have an art piece that depicts a lone and baron land, is that a perfect representation of what you want to create in your life? Is there a corner or a closet that you choose to avoid because it’s overwhelming just to look at? Well then it’s time to clear them out, remove them, or give them away and notice how quickly you and your space changes.

Feel free to share you experience of this exercise

Be Well!

McDonalds is Suspected of Doing this to Enhance Business

November 16, 2010

McDonalds is clearly one of the most successful franchises in the world. Anyone who has ever studied business or has had his or her own business has probably heard the story of its creation.
Many have modeled their techniques and methods. Clearly they are doing something right. In fact, I think I know one of the secrets to their success.

I suspect they are using the ancient art of Feng Shui.

I noticed their use of Feng Shui as I passed by a McDonalds. There was something different this time, something caught my eye.
It was the movement of flags just outside the restaurant’s entrance. At first I though it was a coincidence until I looked out for other locations, which quickly confirmed my suspicions: several McDonald’s locations were using flags outside their entrance.
According to Feng Shui, having flags or any whirling and twirling wind objects outside the entrance is very auspicious! It helps to activate, energize and attract more opportunities, money, and people, into your life. It really doesn’t matter so much of what the wind piece is, it has more to do with the movement. As the saying goes: “the eye is attracted to movement, and anywhere attention goes, energy flows”. Of course it affects us unconsciously, which is even better because all decisions and automatic processes are unconscious.
So, if would like to enhance your career, or business take a tip from McDonalds and put a flag outside your place of business, because clearly, they are doing something right and if McDonalds does it, maybe you should too!

P.S. Also can be placed outside your home as it works well at activating and pulling in desired energy!

Do YOU take YOURSELF to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, all the days of your life?”

August 27, 2010

Many people make the ultimate declaration of love through a form of a vow. Similar to the one you just read.

I believe with proper intent a vow is quite powerful. It’s a form of an affirmation, a statement of truth and certainty.

I also love the  “for better for worse, richer for poorer, in sickness and in health” part. In my opinion the most important part.

However, how come we don’t remember to apply this to ourselves?

How often do we LOVE and truly show GRATITUDE for ourselves when we aren’t at the top of our game? When was the last time you LOVED what you didn’t do well. Or perhaps when you were not physically well, or not as successful as you would like to be, not as healthy as you wish you were.

I know I had to remind myself of that recently.

To love myself and be grateful even when I get in MY own way.

A journey of self (spiritual)-development while being driven to reach your ultimate potential in order to see what is really possible is by no means a boring trip!

However, since we are all here to grow and learn there seems to be 2 types of paths many of us could be categorized under:

One-Sided Path:

This direction is striving for only good, perfection or some other form of “positive high”. To make everything better and remove, or rid the world, self, etc of any flaws, faults or “negativity”.

The benefit to this path is that it is very appealing. It is easy and it has some wonderful “highs”.

Unfortunately this path is totally unbalanced, unrealistic and impossible to permanently maintain since it goes against nature, which is that there are both sides that are always equal and opposite yet complimentary, a.k.a:

yin/yang, dark/light,  or  +/- . Which also means that the “lows” are quite low and there are many people that are not willing to give up this way of living

Balanced Path:

The other path is of yielding to Loving both sides: the positive the negative: or as I guess the “for better for worse, richer for poorer, in sickness and in health” part.

This direction is all about Balancing creative with logic, nurturing ones own internal self with the ample attention and focus to what’s going on in the world around. Can you find peace and harmony even during times of what appears as chaos?

Either path will not be easy as both have their challenges, however it seems that one causes more suffering and separation rather then balance and integration.

Be honest,

Which path are you on?

Which would path would you like to be on?

What are the vows you pledge to yourself?

A Shocking Solution on how to stop the Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico

June 24, 2010

What do you do when you see something that you feel is outside of your power to change?

Nobody likes to feel helpless, let alone powerless however it’s not easy when you are able to see things like the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico continuing to empty out into our precious water for what I hear has been more then 50 days!

I find it not easy to believe that with all of our technology that not one human being has been able to come up with a viable solution on how to stop the leak.

Well, I may not have all the answers however I refuse to believe that I have no influence whatsoever.

Today I received a shocking idea, a empowering solution that I was suggested to pass on to you.

Take what you will from the following and feel free to pass it on:

Yesterday at our spiritual center we read a letter from Dr. Masaru Emoto who many of you will recognize as the scientist from Japan who has done all the research and publications about the characteristics of water.

Among other things, his research reveals that water physically responds to thoughts and emotions.

Right now, most of us have the predominantly angry emotion when we consider what is happening in the Gulf.  And while certainly we are justified in that emotion, we may be of greater assistance to our planet and its life forms.

If we sincerely, powerfully and humbly pray the prayer that Dr Emoto, himself, has proposed.

“I send the energy of love and gratitude to the water and all the living creatures in the Gulf of Mexico and its surroundings. To the whales, dolphins, pelicans, fish, shellfish, plankton, coral, algae, and all living creatures   . . .  I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.
I love you. ”

We are passing this request to people who we believe might be willing to participate in this prayer, to set an intention of love and healing that is so large, so overwhelming that we can perform a miracle in the Gulf of Mexico.

We are not powerless.  We are powerful.  Our united energy, speaking this prayer daily…multiple times daily….can literally shift the balance of destruction that is happening.

We don’t have to know how……we just have to recognize that the power of love is greater than any power active in the Universe today.

Please join us in oft repeating this healing prayer of of Dr. Emoto’s.

Let’s take charge, and do our own clean up!

And so it is!  Pass it on.”

So how is this “Shocking” because it is shockingly simple and we can all do it.

It’s worth a shot!

Perhaps this is what it will take for us to wake up to the inspiration, the knowledge and the know how in order to stop the leak.

How to Keep Your Loved Ones Close this Holiday Season

December 20, 2009

Have you noticed how quickly the Holiday Season has approached? With everything to do, this is definitely the busiest time of the year and then like a flash it is all over. It is quite easy that while we are in the midst of “doing” so many things like running around from place to place, gift buying and giving, dinners to prepare and so forth, that we don’t remember to take the time to truly enjoy the company of our loved ones. For they are our true treasures. However, we need to remember to keep those we care about close along without spreading ourselves too thin with an over abundance of unrealistic time commitments.

This holiday season is about to present a few firsts for me: a summer Christmas and my first time being away from my friends and family. I am so accustomed to this time of year being cold and snowy, better known as a “White Christmas”. This time I get the pleasure of spending my time down under in New Zealand with my NEW extended family circle. I guess you could say that I am having a Kiwi Christmas.

So whether you are not able to be close to your loved ones this season due to distance or time challenges all the more reason to keep them energetically close. For this I want to share a Feng Shui Cure to show you one way of doing this.

Collect your favourite photos of your friends and family. Then place your favourite photos in a beautiful wooden frame. Wood is the element that most enhances family connections. I guess that’s where the saying “Family Tree” comes from. Place the photos each in the wooden frame or make a collage of your close ones. Now your new ornament can be placed in your dinning room area or wherever you have your celebratory holiday feasts. It will be as if they are there with you right at the table to enjoy all the talk and treats. If you are unable to find pictures use any other symbol or art that best represents your loved ones along with a wooden item (i.e: box, stem, branch, wooden utensil, board etc.) to activate the bond and connection.

Have fun and be creative! I just received news that a great friend of mine back home has gone as far as to placing a wooden chair at the table and has told everyone that is my seat for Christmas Dinner! I know I will be with my friends and family back home…in spirit!

Remember this time of year is all about being rather then doing. It’s not about how much you do. It’s not worth stretching your energy beyond what is healthy for you. When you are giving your time and energy to your loved ones you want to be able to give only the best of your energy and time. Use this cure to keep them near with still giving time to yourself to stay charged.

May this season bring an abundance of health, prosperity and love!

Aroha,

Andrea

Prepare for the Most Mystical Time of the Year!

October 30, 2009

October is such a fascinating month. Based on Numerology it is the month that acts as the “window” to show you what is to come in the New Year. September brought the phase of completion as we now begin to wind down and turn inward for the dark, hibernation days of winter.

October holds the wonderful celebration of Hallowe’en, a time of transition and thanks giving as well as apparently a time where the veil that separates the two worlds is at it’s thinnest. This year we look forward to Chiron (the planet of healing) shifting and moving forward all the way until June, 2010 as well as on Saturday where 4 major celestial alignments energize our psychic atmosphere.

For this month, if you would like to aid in this healing time and receive extra guidance from the “other world” you can energize your “helpful people” area in your home or office by placing a symbol of an angel (or symbol of your choice) in this space of course also including an intention that you can either state out loud, write, or visualize. Perhaps intending for a stronger connection between you and your psychic or intuitive mind.

Is Anyone Else Having Mis-Communications with Electronic Devices or is it Just Me?

September 17, 2009

I would like to share with you my story so that perhaps I may receive some feedback or suggestions.

I noticed for many years I was never one to have all my electronics working properly or working at all.

I have gone through over 6 computers, 4 cameras, 3 cars, several DVD players, and never really had a good relationship with stereos, hairdryers and various appliances as well. I just recently bought a new computer, which has been in for repairs 3 times already in its first month.

I have also been known to be around other people’s electronics, which all of a sudden don’t work when I am nearby.  I remember a time when a VCR decided to spit out a video tape just when I happened to be leaning over nearby and WHAM! Right on the head!

Last week, on the same day my new computer stopped working, my car wasn’t working and my Internet was down. It was then I heard that 2 or 3 other people I knew where also experiencing electronic interference.

Based on my knowledge and experience with Astrology, Numerology etc. I know that I am supposed to “like” technology and electronics. Which I do however I am sure I would like it more once we have a harmonized WORKING relationship. I know that I am also extremely sensitive to energy and electronics. I remember also being able to feel electronics when they are on around me regardless of whether I can tell or see if they are on. I was once told when I was younger that I should actually be careful how often and also how near I am to electronic devices.

I want to use this as an example and perhaps you can follow me through this transition, as it is a pattern that I do want to change and I know I can. I am responsible for my reality and there is a learning in all things especially patterns. I had recently worked on this pattern and I thought I had cleared it. Obviously not yet!

I am curious though, how many others have this pattern. I can’t imagine that I am the only one. So before I write to you about the progression of this awareness I would like to hear what you think.

999 WTF?!?!

September 9, 2009

I almost didn’t remain aware enough to remember that is the ninth day of the ninth month of the ninth year.

Some may just look past what seems like a small occurrence in a sea of things always happening.

Numbers do carry great importance and significance as each has their own energy and value. Nine is quite a powerful number. There are nine planets in the solar system (Yes, I am still counting Pluto as a planet!).

Why?

In Feng Shui, this is the number that represents joyful and prosperous conclusions or completions as to allow us to then prepare for our new journey and adventures ahead.

Also what makes this number so magical is that it’s the last of the single digit integers. After nine you reach double digits that in numerology get reduced back down to a single digit (10= 1+0).

The nine digit is the only number in calculation that will always reproduce itself ( 9×2 = 18. Then 1+8= 9).

Historically, ancients buried their dead on the ninth day and the dead were honoured every ninth year in some cultures.

Some religions state that Jesus died on the ninth hour and God has descended to earth nine times as well.

Therefore is known to be associated with transformation, reward and recognition.

So enjoy the ninth day or the ninth month however you feel would be best. Notice how you will have a desire to finish something, ANYTHING!

Check out my tips page on my website for some very powerful Feng Shui suggestions to take advantage of this magical time of the year!
